The Earth Signals and Systems Group is honored to contribute to MIT's flagship Climate Grand Challenges projects: "Preparing for a new world of weather and climate extremes"
Sai Ravela will serve as the Machine Learning lead in cross-cutting research to improve how we quantify the risk from extreme weather events in a changing climate. The ESSG will develop methodology to combine Physics and Machine Learning for predictive modeling, uncertainty quantification, risk assessment, and decision support.
